The District will like to encourage all clubs to use Speechcraft as a tool for
membership recruitment and club development. Since its launch by Toastmasters
International, Speechcraft programs have introduced millions to the Toastmasters
Educational and Leadership Program, helped revived struggling clubs and
created new ones. At the same time, it has helped all introduced to
the program overcomed their fears of public speaking and discovered many potential
leaders.
To support clubs conducting Speechcraft, the District will
provide up to 5 copies of the participant's workbook for every Speechcraft conducted
between 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2001. Recognition will be given to organising
clubs and program coordinators on the District website.
To receive the workbooks and qualify for recognition, program coordinators must
schedule
their program with the District at least two weeks before commercement.
Two assistant coordinators from any club may be registered per program but
only the home club of the coordinator will be credited as the organising club.
