Doctrine In John 1:11 the bible tells us that Jesus came unto his own and that his own received him not. This verse is not talking about salvation or saying that his own did not ask him verbally to be or accept him as there lord and Saviour like some would have you believe! What this verse is talking about, is a simple greeting! they gave him no welcome. Get out your concordance and look up every verse where receive is found: do this and you will discover the truth in what I have said about this verse. The bible tells us that an unbeliever is spiritually dead, a spiritually dead person wants nothing to do with God, nor can do anything that will please God! Topic: Good & Evil Until Christ returns there will always be wars and corruption: all of the bad things that we do not like: but when Christ returns he will cast those who do not believe in him; into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15 but those who believe in him will enter into heaven where there is peace and happiness forever. The only explanation that enters my mind on this matter is this. The bible tells us that for the elects sake that Jesus returns early, for if he don't, there would be know one left to save. It appears that mankind [if not for the early return of Jesus], would eventually destroy or annihilate themselves. Jesus therefore, for the elects sake returns early and puts an end to the wars and fighting in the world, and sets up a thousand year reign of peace on earth so that the rest of those who are meant to be saved can be born, and when or after the rest of those who are meant to saved have been born and saved through the hearing of the gospel: the thousand years will have come to an end. Do we have to verbally accept Jesus into our lives, in order to be saved? the answer to this question is [no]. This doctrine is not supported by scripture: and is a works doctrine: this doctrine has been born out of the mind of man. To be saved, Jesus tells us to believe in him, and belief in Jesus comes from God through the hearing of his words, them that are in the bible. The elect are the chosen, they are those who were given to Jesus by the father, they are the predestined! they are the few who enter in at the narrow gate! those who believe that they are saved by something or some work that they do apart from God, like verbally accepting Jesus or some other thing, are part of the many who go through the wide gate that leads to destruction! For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
