Jackie Chan

Certainly one of the most recognizable faces of the world, Jackie Chan started out as a stunt man who appeared in many movies before he turned 21 years of age. He gained recognision as Bruce Lee's successor as he mesmerized the audience with his flawless and stylish martial arts moves. Considering his popularity today, it took Jackie Chan a lot to become the international star he is today. In 1973, Jackie Chan briefly appeared in the popular Bruce Lee flick Enter the Dragon . In 1978, Chan starred in The Young Master, which was the first of many films he directed. Chan didn't gain American attention until the 1995 film, Rumble in the Bronx was released in the United States whose audience immediately fell in love with him. In 1998, Jackie Chan starred in his first American film, Rush Hour, which became a box-office smash. He returned to the states when he starred in Shanghai Noon in the year 2000. Some of his other popular films include Drunken Master (1978) Fantasy Mission Force (1979), The Big Brawl (1980), The Young Tiger (1980), Project A (1983), Wheels on Meals (1984), Police Story (1985), Armour of God (1986), Rouge (1988), Operation Condor (1990) , Supercop (1992) , Jackie Chan's First Strike (1996) and Mr. Nice Guy (1997). Jackie Chan will always he remembered as a man who brought humor to the martial arts genre that legendary Bruce Lee failed to do.
