Barry Lyndon

A wonderfully detailed epic on the life of Barry Lyndon, a senseless, yet ambitious Irish character who ends up becoming a wealthy landowner. Stanley Kubrick does a very fine job directing this film, but he could have given the film more of a meaning or purpose. It's still excellent with an intriguing cast and it is worth watching despite the fact that it's over three hours long. It doesn't gets boring, either!
