Beneath the Planet of the Apes

Inferior sequel to the extraordinary film, The Planet of the Apes, is about another group of astronauts going through the same time warp to land on the same odd planet. There he meets Taylor (reprised by Charlton Heston) being held prisoners by a bunch of creepy atomic bomb-worshipping human mutants (who can speak verbally and telepathically). Still a worthy view and addition to the Planet of the Apes library. It's lack of plot is redeemable since the original honestly sucked the potential of an incredible sequel away anyway. See if you're an ape fan. Followed by an enjoyable and improved sequel: Escape from the Planet of the Apes.
