Martin Lawrence plays a thief who hides a valuable diamond in the air duct of a police station right before he's arrested. Two years later, he fakes a job there to acquire access to the diamond, but he ends up becoming a valuable asset to the police department. Lesser performances by everyone except Lawrence and a not-so-good plot stifles the effort, but there are good jokes that are few and far between.
