This is a very weird movie with surprisingly wild performances coming from established action heroes Bruce Willis and Nick Nolte that I'm surprised was universally panned by critics. Well, I ain't gonna pan it! (Me as Mr. Devious.) This adaptation of the celebrated novel by Kurt Vonnegut is highly spirited and was fun for me to watch. However, its major fault is that the director didn't know how to handle the semi-surreal, over-the-top plot and it turned out . . . well . . . a watered-down cake that might have been a rich dessert. It could have been much more compelling, but I still consider this top for those wanting something twisted for their Friday evenings.
