Dante's Peak

An extremely corny dialogue and an impossible plot is redeemed by beautiful scenery, dazzling special effects and edge-of-your-seat suspense! A small town named the second most desirable place to live under 20,000 is suddenly threatened by what makes their town famous: Dante's Peak, a supposedly extinct volcano. Well, as you may have guessed, Dante's Peak blows up and wreaks havoc on the entire town. It's almost amusing to watch these characters fly through this strange plot; get this: the main characters are in a boat floating in a lake where the water turned into a very strong acid. The bottom of the boat is sizzling, the motor quit working, and when they get close to the shore, what does grandma do? She gets out of the boat into the strong acid and walks it to shore. Grandma should know better!
