When a peculiar meteor shower, giving off illuminating and colorful light, gives an excellent show to the Earthlings, there is hardly a soul that misses it. Unfortunately, it's viewers soon go blind as a result of its ultra-violet rays and are rendered helpless in the streets. Furthermore, the shower left spores which grew into violent man-eating plants that walked, and easily devoured any poor individual who wandered aimlessly into its path. Howard Keel plays a lucky guy who happened to be recovering from eye surgery at the time and had his eyes covered. It is up to him, and the few others who can see, to save the world from these ghastly, green beasts and to keep Earthlings from becoming extinct! It's a true shame the quality of the picture and sound is low. The movie, however, is very good! For any fan of science fiction.
