Deep Impact

An exciting if somewhat improbable science fiction spectacle about a giant comet that astronomers discover will hit the earth and will soon end all life thereafter. This film basically touches base on people's reaction to this tragedy about to happen. The special effects are great, but the acting is less so. The premise leans toward the sappy side. Armageddon, a film that came out approximately the same time as this, is also about the demise of earth by comet but is more of an action-fest.
