Excalibur

I'd say this film version of the adventures of King Arthur is in the running for the "coolest movie ever made." It tracks the conceiving, the crowning, the marriage troubles, the evil-sorceress sister trouble (that's an interesting relationship), the Merlin friendship, and the near-death experience that this legendary English ruler faced with tremendous results! And don't forget that this film contains many fantastically lavish sword fighting as well. Sometimes the film loses focus so it is extremely important that the viewer doesn't lose focus along with it. A remarkably well-done film that receives my full endorsement.
