Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Generally entertaining vulgarity about adolescent years and the adolescent lifestyle. The film has some very funny moments and the cast does a fine job in their roles. Fast Times at Ridgemont High is supposedly a popular film, but I really missed the boat; where's its appeal? There's too much vulgar talk, drugs and sex to make this a pleasant and an entirely enjoyable film. The best part is Sean Penn's surfer dude character antagonizing the cruel History teacher and when be accidentally totals a beautiful sports car. The film often-times falls flat, but it's still generally worth watching especially if your looking for a better-than-average teen-flick. A no-no for family viewing. If you see this film and you think you just saw Nicholas Cage, your not imagining things, this is his movie debut!
