Gettysburg

This drawn-out Civil War epic gives a good description of the Civil War, but it is boringly tiresome until the edge-of-your-seat battle scenes that occur toward the end. The character development is terrible; it's difficult keeping track of them! In order to fully appreciate, this 4 hour long movie will have to be viewed again and few people are willing to take the time. On the bright side, the acting is great, the film gives an excellent depiction of the battle of Gettysburg and it certainly seems real. Gettysburg has made a phenomenal effort and is wonderfully detailed. Perfect for history buffs.
