An incredibly-mean-and-nasty-jerk weatherman, Phil Conners (played wonderfully by Bill Muray), goes to the annual Groundhog’s Day in Puxatawney, Pennsylvania, to conduct a special report on the groundhog and his famous prediction. Phil, having done this three times already, thinks that this is the assignment from hell and travels to Puxatawney extremely reluctant. Unexpectedly, even to a weatherman, there is a blizzard and poor Phil is stuck in this earthly hell for another day. As if that wasn't bad enough, Phil wakes up the next day and realizes that it is Groundhog Day again! He is got caught up in some sort of a twilight zone-ish dimension where he has to keep on re-living Groundhog Day until he reverses his mean and nasty jerkish ways! It sounds weird, but it is definitely one of the most creative comedies ever made with first-rate jokes and a hilarious premise. The director and actors have a lot of fun with this making it extremely enjoyable as a result! A must see.
