The Pirates of Penzance

A quirky and childish musical with a cardboard set, strange plot, bizarre songs and abnormal choreography. At the beginning of the flick, the non-juvenile viewer will find this to be quite the oddity, but once it gets going, it manages to catch on fire and deliver. A good family film that would have been much nicer if it was shot on location instead of using styrofoam for rocks and Christmas lights for stars. The best part is the song and dance from the troupe of policemen. Strange roles for Kevin Kline and Angela Lansbury.
