Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Steve Martin stars as an uptight advertising-man who tries to travel home during the Thanksgiving season after a long business meeting. When he flies home to Chicago, the airport is snowed in and the plane ends up having to detour to Wichita, Kansas (oh horror of horrors!) It being Thanksgiving, Martin has to travel cross-country home, but with an annoying loser, played skillfully by John Candy. A touching script by John Hughes and fine acting by the stars makes "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" a wonderful male-bonding flick; one of the best in the genre!
