An excellent war flick about a newcomer, played by Charlie Sheen, and his experiences at the Vietnam War battlefield. The reason you'd want to watch this flick is to see the very realistic battles; there is also a reason not to watch it for people who are squeamish. "Platoon" is both powerful and sobering. Great performances by the cast!
