This is the very first mainstream film production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and it's one of the best! Norma Shearer and Leslie Howard play the title roles professionally with great sword fights that enliven the otherwise dull flick. Recommended only if you have already seen the superior 1968 version starring Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting and you're thirsty for more.
