Ruthless People
Danny DeVito contemplates ways to murder his undesirable wife, Bette Midler, but then he gets a phone call informing that his wife has been kidnapped for ransom. So DeVito does nothing. A clever comedy from Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, and Jerry Zucker (directors of "Airplane!," "Naked Gun," and "Top Secret!") However, don't expect a laugh a minute, this comedy, by comparison, is more sophisticated.
