Shine

An exceptional biography of the prodigy piano player, David Helfgott, who is literally driven insane by his overly harsh and cruel father. He goes through life as an extremely abnormal person, but is respected by the public for his excellent piano playing. The lovely music of this film seems to liven up the dull and slow pace. Geoffrey Rush deservedly won an Oscar for his moving performance as David Helfgott. Shine is interesting and insightful.
