Star Trek returns to bring an improved film compared to its predecessor. This film actually picks up on an old Star Trek episode where Captain Kirk exiled Kahn, an outlaw and his "buddies" on a barren planet. They had a vengeance on Kirk ever since. While conducting The Genesis Mission, which is capable of supplying a totally barren planet with life, the Enterprise stumbles across Kahn, where he promptly takes over and causes some serious mischief. The plot is actually comprehensible, and the film can be likable not just to Star Trek fans, but mostly everybody else as well. The drawback however, is the film is somewhat talky and slow and can come out to be slightly boring. Noted for Kirstie Alley's film debut.
