This excellent film examines the intertwining lives of several seemingly unconnected characters and their search for happiness. At surface value, this is can be an entirely drab film, but put everything into the right context this could be the greatest film ever made for someone who thinks they're unhappy. The large cast with some recognizable faces (including Alan Arkin, John Turturro, Amy Irving, and Matthew McConaughey) is largely exceptional. The fact that the plot is told out of order makes it even more interesting. There should be more movies out there like this! My criticism is that this movie is too slow and not as inspired as it should have been.
