Clint Eastwood plays John Ford while he's directing the American classic, The African Queen when he'd rather go elephant hunting instead. Eastwood plays this different kind of role in mediocrity. White Hunter, Black Heart is not particularly special. The characters involved in making The African Queen, for some reason, had their names changed which is slightly annoying. A film that can be summed up as only "okay".
