The purpose of ECCNAA is to help preserve Nevada's antiquites, encourage the study
of archaeology and to educate the public as to the aims of archaeological research. Members
agree to abide by the Code of Ethics of the Nevada Archaeological Association.
We are a group of people who have an interest in archaeology and
history. We include professional and amateur archaeologists as well as individuals
who simply want to learn more about the field.
As a group we do many community projects. Some of the activites include: construction of
the Northside School exhibit; participation in the Cold Creek archaeological excavation, the
Spring Creek Mastodon excavation, the Carlin Chinese cemetery excavation, bringing in several Chautauqua
performers and speakers and holding hands-on educational workshops.
