Gilnahirk Pipe Band meets every Monday at the Jack Britton hall in Gilnahirk beside the Presbyterian Church. Fees are £1 per week for Junior or OAP's all other members £1.50, which includes Drumming or Piping tuition. New members or those interested in learning Piping or Drumming are always welcome.

The band are playing four tunes in their medley this year, These are:- "Murdo's Wedding", "The Bonnie Woods of Stirkoke", "Pipe Major Robert (Bob) Martin", and "The City of Hastings".   Some of these tunes can be found on the links page.

Gilnahirk Pipe Band was formed in 1919, and the current Pipe Major is Mervyn Mayes. The band wears the Muted Lochaber Tartan which is used as the background for all the website pages. A short résumé and a photograph taken in 1920 can be found on the history page.
