I hope to provide a helpful service to all of my fellow bibliophiles and to those who are not. You may be asking yourself why should you want to even read further. Here is why. If you are like myself you know there are a ton of books out there. You also know that books cost a ton of money. If you are also like me you wish you had a ton of money to buy a ton of books. Unfortunately I myself do not have a ton of money. Because of this slight deficiency I often find my purchasing of books rather limited. I find myself at local library book sales and scanning Bibliofind for longer than I should. When I want to read something without silverfish in it, I often hit the bargain racks at Barnes & Noble. Therein lies a problem that I am sure many have faced.

Why are these books on the bargain rack? Many of them are overruns or have just some bad binding jobs and are given one last stand before they are sent to the pulpers. Then there are the ones that just aren't a bargain. They look good. Nice jackets and interesting titles. The pages aren't even upside-down relative to the cover. You buy it and take it to bed with you all ready for a good read and then you realize why they are on the rack. Drivel or incomprehensible comes to mind. Sure, they only cost a few dollars but that was money that could have bought the next one down the shelf that only had one copy left and…

I have had it happen and I am sure that someone else out there has done it also. That is why I would like to give my honest opinions on books that I have actually purchased and read cover-to-cover. I stress the previous in Italics because I have found that some reviews or opinions generated were on complimentary copies and even worse yet, books the individuals scanned briefly or hired out someone to write a synopsis about.

I also occasionally purchase a book for full price and I will definitely let you know about that one. I also will share some of the more interesting items which I have picked up at used book stores and library sales as well as list of such said book stores and library sales as they come up so make sure to book mark my page.

For my fellow modelers I would like to include reviews on various models, paint, and equipment that I have purchased. I have myself looked for reviews on specific things such as airbrushes and models and came up with a lot of information that did not quite help me decide on a purchase. I hope they are helpful.
