In the near future, a massive multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) hit the market. "The World" instantly became a hit. With a virtual reality head set and internet, with in three years 20 million people play the game world wide. Like all RPG games, in "The World" players may collect treasure, clear dungeons, and fight monsters, they can get experience points and level up by killing monsters or other players. Players can also teleport to to other servers.
Like Never Winter Night, players may create their own character. The can create their own physical appearance, and choice of different "classes." Players may also directly interact with out players in real time in the game. Unlike all of the RPG games in the world currently, "The World" has no real objective. Players can decide on their own goal. They can complete quests like normal RPG or they can just hang out on a server and talk.
With that the mystery, drama and adventure begins.
