The Macmesh Project

A few months agao I downloaded a fairly well known trimesh editor called MeshWork written by Joseph J. Strout of Codenautics. I was awed by its simplicity, and how well it was implemented, and how effectively and quickly I could make a nice looking 3D model. About that time I also downloaded POV-Ray, something which amounts to a powerful renderer that only a programmer can work effectively, and it and Meshwork worked together like peas and carrots. Where does Macmesh come in? As I became little more advanced in Meshwork, I thought to myself, "I could do something like this", and Macmesh was born after a few evenings of light work. It is by no means ready for use by the outside world, but enough is completed for a programmer to know the direction it is going in. When it is finished, it will be released as freeware, and I am hoping that it will be built with the help of the METAL BASIC, the language it is written in, community, which contains many smart people and some of which may have more time to spare than me. If you can help, just download the code and bang away at it, if its good, than I will announce a new version and put the code up for download. Have fun.
