There are many methods of treating drug dependents. They include the following:

• Detixification - medical treatment to remove the effect of drug
• Psychological Treatment - aims to modify the victim's behavior in the proper directions
• Group and Individual Theraphy - discussion with former drug dependents
• Substitution treatment - substituting drugs for another, like methadone for heroin
• Social and Occupational Rehabilitation
• Consultation and Advice - patient are treated upon consultation in drop-in centers
• Therapeutic Community - an institution providing remedial enviroment to drug addicts
• The Outreach - a center where skills are taught and advices are given to former drug dependents
