Welcome Back Parents and Students:

This week we will begin Johnny Tremain by Ester Forbes. Students will also be placed in
grammar groups based on their test results on Unit 9 to work on skills they need to improve on.

Students should also be reading their independent reading book. In addition, we will be working
in small writing groups analyzing samples of essays and identifying problem areas and how to
revise writing. Students will be given those samples to revise in their groups focused on ideas
and organization of those ideas.
