This is the place I will feature stories about artists and their albums for which you can sample and buy their works right from this page.
As ear-catching and pleasing as anything the Carpenters or ABBA ever recorded, the songs on LIVING UNDER JUNE are considerably more complex -- both in sound and emotion -- than your average Top Forty fare. Producer Ed Chemey (nominated for an impressive three Grammy Awards this year), who manned the boards for Arden's TIME FOR MERCY as well, has created a wonderfully sculpted soundscape for Arden's .passionate, often unpredictable, voice to roam. "Ed Chemey is such a great guy," says Arden. "He's so hilariously funny. It was so hard to leave him when the record was done." Pumping up the rhythm section throughout is acclaimed drummer Kenny Aronoff, known for his work with John Mellencarnp. Ultimately, Arden likes to avoid using labels when describing her unique sound: "I'm bits and pieces of everything I've ever heard. It's definitely pop music -- but everything and anything." Jann's new Album "blood red cherry" promises to be another achievement for a great album. Checkout Sleepless. Guess Who to release 3 new efforts October 17, 2000 (Launch) - The Guess Who will release a two-disc live album from its summer reunion tour Nov. 21. The album will be culled from performances the Guess Who recorded while touring Canada. The live release will coincide with the Nov. 19 Canadian broadcast of a two-hour special the Guess Who taped at its June 30 performance at Canwest Global Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Other Guess Who products in the pipeline include "This Time Long Ago," a two-disc set of archival material the band recorded in the '60s and a reissue of the 1969 "Canned Wheat" album that will feature songs prior to guitarist Randy Bachman's departure from the band. In other Guess Who news, a petition is being featured at the Web site PetitionOnline.com to get the band on the 2001 ballot for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
