Here I am on the beautiful (and totally awesome) Rialto
Beach, WA. which is about 2 1/2 hours from our home near Seattle. If you
ever get the chance to see this beautiful beach on the west coast of WA.
you should go! There are huge bleached tree trunks that have washed up on
shore like giant white toothpicks. Unbelievable sea stacks, brown and gray
seagulls, eerie fog, and lots of kelp.
Ok, back to the purpose of the page...
I started building web sites back in 1997 after having
gotten hurt at work (Hence the walking stick... which I found on Rialto
Beach that day and kept it since it was perfect!) and did end up taking
some computer classes after I found out I would probably never be able to
go back to the job I had before. I thought maybe I could design web sites
for people an earn some money to supplement my disability check.
Then, right after I earned my Software Specialist's
Certificate (With Highest Honors!) and had just transferred to Indiana
University for a Bachelor's in Computer Science, I got even worse and had
to drop out of school totally. :(
I am extremely fluent with Word, FrontPage, Publisher,
PhotoDraw, and other Microsoft programs. I am currently teaching myself
cgi scripting, Perl, and JavaScript editing to make scripts sit up and
beg!
I love school, learning, and teaching. So I took up
tutoring which is how I ended up with my first site
http://newz2me.com. An ezine directory,
it came about because I used to recommend good ezines I came across to
friends and family and ended up with such a big list I moved it online. I
eventually had to sell it because I was unable to maintain it - it had
grown huge with 300+ pages.
I also got a lot of my practical knowledge of web design
and writing (For the web and writing articles and ebooks in general) from
the hands on experience of writing, editing, adding scripts, formatting,
and designing newz2me. I wrote a huge tutorial ezine (Maybe you read it -
NewzBytes?) from 1998 until I finally sold the site in late 2002. That
ezine, published 2x a month for 4 years averaged 36 pages long per issue!
(If you were to print it out, 10 pt font, etc..) A lot of writing went
into that ezine and web site and I hope everyone enjoyed reading it as
much as I did writing it.
I recently married the most wonderful guy in the world,
Joe, who without him I don't think I would have made it through the
lawsuit, worker's compensation court, and a really crappy settlement
compared to the amount of permanent damage I suffered from my work
accident. But even if all of that hadn't happened, I would have fallen in
love with him anyway. He is the best, most kind hearted person I know and
I can only hope that everyone is as lucky as I have been! We came to be in
this beautiful state, WA, when he got transferred with his job to Seattle.
We love it so much here... I have sworn to never return to being a "flat-lander"
again! It is totally awesome to see mountains, glaciers, the forests (And
even a rain forest in the Olympic Peninsula!) just outside the door or
down the road.
So, here we are - a new city and a new site. Soon to be
one of many smaller sites. Some will tutor and teach publishing, writing,
web design and autoresponders and how to tie all of them together to
produce whatever you want. Ebooks, multi-media presentations, showcase
your hobbies, write a novel, whatever you want to learn how to publish.
Others will sell some of my own products and the best products created by
others. Some other sites will be free like this one which is strictly a
resource site.
So stay tuned to the ezines from the various sites to
see what's coming up next. I continue to enjoy writing in general, and
tutorials, ebooks and articles specifically, and will notify subscribers
and readers of all new additions as they are ready.
You can write me by sending an email to
or to the editor of the
Ebook Express Ezine
published from this site.
Enjoy the directory and keep your questions, comments
and testimonials coming, I love reading them all!
Have a great day!

PS. My other obsession/hobby is photography. If you want
to see some of my nature shots check them out at
Webshots. The link will take you to my section. If not, simply look up
user "tslee". You can see Mt St Helen's, WA beaches, The Cascade
Mtns. and other outdoor pics. I will be publishing a screensaver and
building a site you can order prints from in the near future.
