Casual Tonalities Releases "The Rugrats Movie Score'' CD, Composed by Mark Mothersbaugh; Klasky Csupo's Record Label Slates Nov. 16 Release in Time for Holiday ShoppingHOLLYWOOD--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1999--Casual Tonalities, a division of the animation studio Klasky Csupo, announced the "The Rugrats Movie Score" CD release, composed by Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo fame and performed by The London Metropolitan Orchestra, from the record-breaking blockbuster film "The Rugrats Movie."The 2-CD package, slated for release on Nov. 16, 1999, is a collection of catchy theme songs and creative audio animation. The announcement was made today by Klasky Csupo CEO/President Terry Thoren.The score is priced at $17.98 and distributed by Casual Tonalities, the record label of the animation studio responsible for the creation of the "Rugrats," Klasky Csupo. The CD consists of 35 tracks and includes a multimedia CD with links to the Internet, plus three bonus tracks and "Rugrats" sticker inserts.The three additional musical tracks are children's dance mixes from Gabor Csupo, co-creator of the "Rugrats."This distribution of the movie score comes hot off the successful release of "The Rugrats Movie Soundtrack," of which over 1.3 million copies have been sold."Since the `Rugrats' television series airing on Nickelodeon is the number-one show among children ages 2 to 11, we expect a warm welcome for the score," said Thoren. "However, our audience is not limited to children. Just this past March `The Rugrats Movie' was the first non-Disney animated film to break the $100 million mark at the domestic boxoffice," he added.Mothersbaugh's scoring for feature films includes "Rushmore," "200 Cigarettes," "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "Mystery Men." He also wrote the underscore and 20 original songs for the theatrical production "A Rugrats Live Adventure."
