Kaye Gibbons

Ellen Foster was written by Kaye Gibbons. She was born in Nash County, North Carolina in 1960. She attended Rocky Mount High School and went to college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This was where, in 1987, she wrote her first novel, Ellen Foster. In 1989, she wrote her second novel, A Virtuous Woman. Her third novel was A Cure for Dreams published in 1991 which won many awards. Charms for the Easy Life was her fifth book and her sixth was Sights Unseen which was a bestseller. In the summer of 1998, another one of her novels, On the Occasion of My Last Afternoon will be published. Kaye Gibbons currently resides with her family in North Carolina.
