Black Widow

The Black Widow, which is one of the best known venomous spiders, is of the family Theridiiae. It can be up to half an inch long and has up to 2,500 species in its family. The female Black Widow spider has tiny bristles on her legs that allow her to throw a silk net over her prey. Even though the male Black Widow can’t bite, the female Black Widow has a venomous bite which is far more deadly than that of most snakes.

Tarantula

The Tarantula is probably better known as a killer, but it really makes a good pet. The Tarantula is a part of the family Theraphosidea, and is one of the biggest spiders out of a family of 300. It can grow up to an amazing length of 3 and a half inches. The Tarantula is a nocturnal spider, which comes out at night to hunt out small insects.

Spitting Spider

The Spitting Spider is as its name states. It uses a projectile sticky substance, which renders its prey helpless. The Spitting Spider is from a small family, the family Scytodidea. This spider is very small, but doesn’t have to be big. It makes up for its strength in defensive techniques.
