The August 1999 Monthly Rickmanista

Alan Rickman holding his Emmy for Rasputin

The First Afternoon At The Theater

Join me and other Rickman fans for an afternoon at McCarter Theater, Sunday, September 19. We will see Fool For Love, and later we will go to a local restaurant for dinner. If we have 20 or more people we can get the tickets at a substantially lower price, but I’d need to know by August 21. If we are 20 or fewer, tickets will be priced at the regular price. I’ll order the tickets, and forward your ticket as soon as I receive your personal check (e-mail me for details) –- otherwise we might not be able to sit together as a group.
McCarter is located in Princeton, New Jersey (50 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia) and easily reached by train or automobile.
Enjoy the play and dine in the company of other Rickman fans. While the production is not related at all to Mr. Rickman, I’m sure we will enjoy a lovely afternoon.

Please e-mail me if you’d like to join us!

This Month’s Letter To The Editor

Dear Fausta,
I have always liked Alan Rickman, but I didn't know how much I liked him until I stumbled onto your page tonight! You and your film reviewers walk the fine line between healthily and maniacally obsessed. You'd all be scary were it not for the good humor so evident in these pages. I have come away from these pages with a firm resolve to rent Mesmer and an even deeper appreciation for Alan Rickman.
Sincerely
Dianna

Dear Dianna,
Thank you for your kind words!
We are obsessive but harmless, and constantly strive to make fun of our foibles.
Please do come back and visit often, and please send a review!
Kindest regards,
Fausta

Dear Fausta,
I just had to let you know that possibly for the first time EVER I was able to get all the answers right on your trivia quiz. What does that say about my fashion sense?!
Signed,
Elise
Please, no nickname or alias-- I can be held up to public humilia--- er, SCRUTINY every so often;it's good for my humility

Dear Elise,
Obviously you are a person of incredible good taste and an eye for detail! And fearless when it comes to (ehem!) scrutiny.
