The Finnish band HIM (known as HER in North America) are well known for their gothic love metal presence. The Group has gained and lost members over the years of their career but hold the current 5 band members:

Front man Ville began the band in Helsinki, Finland back in 1995 while working in his dad's shop.  This is where he figured out he was fed up with where life was leading him and decided to chance his path.  He gathered up some close friends in hopes to start a band that would touch people with their music, travel the world and finally leave Helsinki. 

Signed to BMG they produced their first CD Greatest lovesongs vol.666 in 1997, their second CD Razorblade Romance in 1999, their third CD Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights in 2001 and their fourth CD Love Metal in 2003.

The band's symbol is called the heartagram.  It has followed the band since the very beginning and defines HIM as a band, as an entity, and for Love Metal in general.

The band’s name and their use of 666 being demonic looking, has nothing to do with any religious beliefs. For Ville and the band, 666 is all about contradictions with the Good and the Evil in love. They speak of love that is larger than life and yet very close to death.

 The band is quickly gaining popularity in America and even more so over in Europe.  They still want to get albums sent over to America to share their music and gain world fame.
