MP3Nights Presents:

VOLVO

Well this page dosen't have much but I love this car. I really don't know much about them because they are not in North America yet, but I do know enough. You may be wondering what Volvo am I talking about. Well if you watch touring car racing you will know right away what car it is.

If you guest the Volvo S40, then you are right. This car has power of about 170 bhp before you get it ready to race that is. Then it has a power load of about 300 bph at 8500 rpm. This car comes only in Non-Turbo. Volvo could modify the settings on the car to give it more horse, but how money more horse do you need in a luxsury sedan. Prepair to see this car kit hit the streets in the year 2000. It is geared to sell to the upper-middle class family, exspecially those that love to travel with their car. If you know Volvo, then you know it for its toughness. The new Volvo S40 is going to be a hit...really. Believe me when I say that. If it keeps winning races against NISSAN, AUDI, RENAULT, HONDA, VAUXHALL AND FORD. You have to see this car in action to believe it. Volvo has come a long way since their new model 750s to their 850s. Now it's time for Volvo to show the world again that they can really make cars. Lets just hope that the selling of Volvo earlier this year (1999) to Ford does not ruin this car, but make it even better. You should know by now how Ford is to Europene Cars.

This is Rick Rydel, the BTCC champion and another champion to be John Richards S40. This car was the winning car for 1998 and this year it just might win again. This car has a very neat gearbox. It's new to touring cars and it is only found in these cars. It's call a sequential change six-speed. This gearbox allows the driver to shift without releasing the clutch. It is all controlled by a computer. You can't do that in any other car. This is very different from tictonic gearboxes. The main difference is that the touring cars still have a clutch, but it takes less time to switch gears, about 1/10 of a second. That is fast. The other difference is that this gearbox has the ablilty to interchange the gear ratios. Like all Euro cars it's suspension is the popular MacPherson adjustable setup. The other big thing about Euro cars is the liter size. The popular 2L. The engine in this cars is very neat. It has 5 cylinders with 4 valves per cylinders. If you want to learn more about these cars hit the links. Also visit The BTCC website. Here are some pictures of this car in action. Some are large enough for your desktop.
