FINDING THE ESPERANTO IN VICE CITY

Where can you find the Esperanto? Well, unfortunately there is no particular place in Vice City where the Esperanto is perpetually parked like the Oceanic in front of the Ocean View or the Infernus in front of the Vercetti Estate. The only way to get it is to catch one. And if you're here then you're having problems finding one running around. So you have to try and get one to spawn, which I have found to be kind of an art.

I've devoted hours to this specific problem, trying to find a sure-fire way get the Esperanto to spawn. These are my current findings:

There is no sure-fire way to spawn an Esperanto. You can only hope to improve your chances of getting it to appear.

The best way to spawn one is to already be driving one, since driving a certain vehicle will spawn lots of similiar vehicles, especially the one you're driving. Still this is not a sure-fire way to get an Esperanto to appear.

The next best thing to do to increase your odds of spawning one is to steal taxi or a mid-quality car and get the lower- and mid-quality cars to appear. The following vehicles are the specific ones you will want to steal to increase the chances of an Esperanto spawning:
Virgo or Idaho.

These two cars, especially the Virgo tend to bring them out. Drive it around Washington Beach and Ocean Beach. Downtown and around the Airport seem to be a good places to go too. The edge of Little Havana near Downtown is kind of good, but too deep and they seem to disappear. Driving a sports car, especially on Star Fish Island, seems to make the Esperanto scarce.

If you don't find an Esperanto soon, get out and steal another similar type car or Taxi, drive for a minute, hop out and steal another, then drive it around for a minute and repeat the process. This seems to work well to get the Esperantos out.

By the time you try all these strategies one should eventually appear because sometimes after just driving around for a very, very long time the game just starts spitting them out. But if it doesn't then stop by the hotel and save the game then reload it and try again. If that doesn't work then exit the game, restart it and try again. It seems to me that sometimes the random generator has to be reset.

The only way to find one sometimes is to just keep driving around till it appears. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the Esperanto. It looks a lot like the Idaho and the Virgo, and you may pass by it and not even know it.

I'll continue to study these results further and see if I can find an absolute sure-fire way to spawn the thing. Come back to see my findings:

I've read that you can find the Esperanto by the stadium. My studies do not support this finding. Sometimes the random generator in the game seems to become stagnant. For awhile I thought you could find it reliably in the parking lot in front of the airport, but later I found this wasn't the case. This might be why people are saying it's behind the stadium. Still, I'll investigate further to see if I am wrong.

FINDING THE ESPERANTO IN LIBERTY CITY

This is a tad easier. The Esperanto seems to show up pretty reliably in the Red Light District. If not try the "reset strategy" mentioned above. Also, instead of mid-quality cars, low-quality cars tend to spawn it.

FINDING THE ESPERANTO IN SAN ANDREAS

Hopefully the Esperanto is in the next GTA game. It is of course my favorite car. I have six of them in my garage at Sunshine Autos. If it is in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and the need to find it is there, I will study that problem.

ABOUT THIS SITE

Originally it was about the universal language Esperanto, but then I started getting a jillion hits looking for info about the car. Being a Grand Theft Auto fan and having completed the Sunshine Auto asset, I figured I had some authority on the issue and put up a tip on how to find the Esperanto. Well, I got a lot of visitors and some emails thanking me for the tip.

Then I was getting an itching to show off my Esperanto collection. Then I figured there were enough sites already dedicated to Esperanto the language. So I re-vamped it.

For those of you who are Esperanto-enthusiasts, hopefully you'll understand the shift in focus. This site will still definitely educate folks on the existence of Esperanto.
And my band too which is called Otherwise Orange by the way.:)

The site will grow and have more photos and if you are a fan of the Esperanto car send me photos of your collection or ideas at
