Reunion
Gents,

I just got back frm dty travel in Cardiff, Wales, attending an MRO Europe
seminar. During the seminar, I met our old colleague, John Hoar (our
Leading Hand in Britannia previously). He is now 56 years old and is now
Manager, Business Projects. The Director of Engineering is now - old Nick
White (same batch as our 1st batch - Alan Lim and Idrus).

I attach an email I sent to Nick White, who was unable to attend this
seminar and he was repld by John Hoar. I hv spoken to John of our plan to
organise a reunion in Luton next year and he is very supportive and
enthusiastic of the idea.

Thks/Fuad.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Mr. White & Mr. Hoar,

I was very excited to meet John during last week's MRO Europe Seminar in
Cardiff. It was unfortunate that Nick was unable to attend the seminar. I
am very happy for you that you are now the Director of Engineering for
Britannia, who used to be Mr. Jeff Parkins, then.

It has been about 24 years since we last met, when I was an MAS apprentice
with Britannia from 1976 to 1979 and how Britannia Airways has expanded and
I feel really proud to be associated with your organisation.

I spoke to John last week and informed him that I hope to organise a
reunion visit amongst some of our ex-MAS apprentices (and our family) who
were trained by Britannia. For your information, we still have reunions
every two years in Malaysia amongst us, as most of us are already split all
over the Airlines and some have left aviation. In every reunion, we display
both Britannia and MAS logos on the backdrop and show old pictures that
brings back old memories. So, perhaps, next year, we would like to organise
one in Luton Airport, itself and it would be a great honour if we could
meet up with some of our old colleagues in Britannia Airways.

I look forward to continued relations between MAS and Britannia Airways and
I am proud to mention that many of your ex-apprentices in MAS are now doing
very well and holding key positions in Engineering & Maintenance and Flight
Operations.

Yours truly,

M. Fuad Sharuji,
Manager, Aircraft Overhaul,
Malaysia Airlines.
