Now however is a different story. We all miss our friends so, expecially the grade 7's for we know we wont see them (in school) again until after a few years (depending on what grade we are). On the day of the grade 7 leaving ceremony, we all showed respect and passion for knowing that they have spent the most years of school than any of us and are now going on to a new school. We also show respect for what they have to handle by going immediately from the oldest in school to the youngest in their new school. May we wish them all a great experience and continued success in Burnaby North High.
Everybody's favorite time is the summer holiday, or so they think that until it accually arrives. We have made such a bond with our friends that we never want to say goodbye and as for the grade 7's, let's just say that it sounds awfully painful to have to wait another year to see them again, expecially for some individuals like Lucia Lee, division 4 whos circle of friends is nearly full of grade 7's.
We must have strong bonds with our friends, however, and make them last and technology definately helps us to do that. The main examples are phones and MSN instant messenger.
On the day of the ceremony, things got started with Steven Chen of division 4 playing Chopin's Valse as the grade 7's entered the gym and into the company of everyone else. Then the awards were handed out to those grade 7's who have helped a great deal to make our school a better place. Next, Oliver, Leo, Shamil and Jeff (division 2) presented a slide show that had taken several months hard work. The ceremony was ended by Kevin Lee playing the grade 7's out of the gym, but not before some or all of the grade 6's from divisions 1-5 presented the song, I Wonder featuring Hugh Fang of the district choir who brought chills up the spines of spectators as he filled the gym with the sound of his magnificient voice.
