of Secesh Bob L'Aloge |
|
Bob L'Aloge was born in Monett, Missouri on June
29, 1948. He attended grade school in Carthage, Missouri and
high school in Springfield, Missouri. His political thesis, originally
titled: Law--Rule of Right, Not Might; won him third place from
the Greene County Bar Association in the 10th Congressional District
of Missouri while still in the 9th grade at Central High School.
He is presently the author of nearly a dozen non-fiction books. His
writing has been described as “time capsules taking the reader back to
New Mexico’s colorful and often violent history” and “a breezy
and colorful journalistic style.” Book reviewers have even
favorably compared him to Louis L’Amour and Mark Twain.
He describes himself as “a real Westerner,” born and raised in southwestern Missouri--the home of Belle Starr, Jesse James and other Old West legends. He drafts his articles, stories and books with a flair, talent and devotion for Old West detail and accuracy. He has earned his ‘real Old West reputation’ in many ways from bronc busting (where he once broke seven ribs) to herding cattle to “making his get away out the back door” when confronted by lawmen after refusing to surrender his six-shooter to a security guard at a book signing in Farmington, New Mexico in June of 1992. Of French-Irish descent, L’Aloge is proud of his blue-blooded Confederate heritage and the fact his ancestors fought for Old Glory as well. He served and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War in 1966-1967. L’Aloge has lectured widely where his travels and research have taken him to 40 of the 50 states. His articles and short stories have appeared in dozens of newspapers and magazines in the United States as well as around the globe. He is adamant about his writings and strongly upholds the issues of freedom of the press, speech and no censorship. He first came to the Southwest, moving to Tucson, in 1980. Eight years later, he and his son moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico. In 1993, they toured the far Northwest for eleven months and then went to Reno, Nevada, where they again toured briefly before returning to New Mexico and then finally settling in Texas--where he had first lived years earlier and was ordained a Sovereign Grace Particular Baptist preacher. His spiritual calling and ordination are below... |

Bob L’Aloge, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to
be an apostolic disciple, separated unto the gospel of God through
the foreordained will of God the Father who, from before the foundation
of the world, chose me by His mercy to be among the elect in Christ Jesus,
His only begotten Son: and, having predestinated me unto the adoption
of His family, according to the good pleasure of His will, do hereby
write this encyclopedia as directed by the Holy Spirit of the Triune
Godhead unto the children of the world, through the power of the Gracious
Omniscient God of Heaven and Earth.
Grace be unto you all from God the Father of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus and His glorious Spirit that has been imparted to those who are the elect of God. This doctrine, which I have been chosen by God the Father to write, is according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the Truth which is after godliness and in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, has promised those of the elect from before the foundation of the world and given unto us through the sacrificial offering made by His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus: and, has in these last days manifested His Word through the preaching, teaching and writings of His saints, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of Christ Jesus my Saviour. For God, who at rare periods in history and in various manners has spoken unto the fathers through the holy prophets, saints and apostles of the Old and New Testaments, and most especially through His Son Christ Jesus, has in these last days employed the talents of various authors and teachers of the Word of God, to expound upon His Word to the furtherance of His Eternal glory concerning the Everlasting decrees of His Infinite Mercy. Having been chosen by Him from before the foundation of the world; and having been licensed “into the Gospel Ministry...to preach the gospel as [I] may have opportunity and to exercise [my] gifts in the work of the ministry by Trinity Baptist Church at Norman, Oklahoma, on the 26th day of November in the year of our Lord 1969 A.D.”; and, having been “solemnly and publicly set apart and ordained to the work of the gospel ministry by authority and order of the Hilltop Baptist Church at Mt. Selman, Texas, on the 9th day in the month of January in the year of our Lord 1972 A.D.,” after having given unto the ordination council [consisting of: Rev. R. Huttash; Mrs. Frances Hasty; Mr. E. Taylor; Mr. L. Volman; Mr. W. J. Johnson; Mr. Jim Paslay; Mr. J. W. Cecil; and Rev. Meadows] a “full and sufficient opportunity for judging [my] gifts, and after satisfactory examination by [them] in regard to [my] Christian experience, call to the ministry, and views of Bible doctrine,” I do hereby pledge my loyalty and devotion to this history as a participant and member of this group known in history as the Particular Baptist |
