From the Kitchen of Carolyn Klein
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped carrots
2 Tablespoons butter
Add:
8 cups chicken broth
1/4 pound polish sausage cut up [pre-cooked, packaged]
1 cup diced potatoes
1 head cabbage, cut up

Sauté chopped onion and carrots in 2 Tablesppons of butter.
Add chicken broth, polish sausage, potatoes and cabbage.
Cook all together. If you'd like a thicker soup, you can make a roux:
6 Tablespoons Butter
1/2 cup Flour
