But everything was OK and now all the looks of the fans of Vardar are turned on the match of Day 16 on Wednesday - March 14th, on which Vardar plays at home against Skendija Tetovo. Besides today's defeat by Sloga, Vardar is still first with 1 point advantage in front of the second-placed Sloga. On today's match in 45th minute because of mutually kicking, Risto Bozinov from Vardar and Zoran Jovanoski were expulsed. In the other matches of today's Day 15, Sileks at home beat FCU Skopje by 4:1 and in Tetovo the home side of Skendija won 2:0 against Belasica Strumica. The next Day 16 on the schedule is on Wednesday - March 14th, with the kick-off at 2 PM and Vardar plays at home against Skendija Tetovo.

06.03.2001 - Today the MFF announced that the matches of Day 15 which were scheduled for March 7th (Wednesday) are rescheduled for March 11th (Sunday) and the matches of Day 16 will be played on March 14th (Wednesday). The date for the 2nd leg matches of the 1/4 finals in the Macedonian national cup will be announced later. This means that the great derby on the Cair Stadium between Sloga and Vardar will be played on Sunday, March 11th with the kick-off at 2 PM CET.

04.03.2001 - In the first match of the second part in the Macedonian National League, Vardar beat Osogovo by 2:0. The match on the City Stadium in Skopje was followed by a crowd of 2,000 and the goal scorers for Vardar were : Zoran Miserdovski in 17th minute and the newcomer Dejan Dimic in 90th minute. On this match the players of FC Vardar had a few more chances for scoring, but our forwards were inefficient. But now all our thoughts are turned on the great derby which is played on Wednesday - March 7th, on the Cair Stadium between the home side of Sloga Skopje and Vardar Skopje. If we stay undefeated on this match then our chances for winning the 5th championship title are huge. In the other matches of Day 14 in the 1.Macedonian National League, Sloga won 2:1 in Tetovo against the home side of Skendija and on the half time it was 1:0 for Skendija. In Prilep the home side of Pobeda beat Sileks Kratovo with 2:0.

25.02.2001 - FC Vardar is defeated with 2:1 from Pelister in Bitola in the first 1/4 finals match of the Macedonian National Cup. The match was followed by a 5,000 spectators and the goal scorers for Pelister were Dimov 43' and Momirovski 47' and the only goal for Vardar was scored by Feim Beganovic in 77th minute. From the 51st minute on the stadium in Bitola there were 200 fans of Vardar, who gave their support to their team to score the goal which will be very significant for the second leg on March 14th in Skopje. Also after the scoring of the only goal for Vardar, the fans of Vardar fired a lot of fireworks and smoking bombs and some of them finished on the pitch and on the stand next of us, on which were placed - Ckembari - the fans of Pelister. Also on the match and after the end there was a small incident, and in that incident Komiti and Loyal Fans (2 fan groups of Vardar) were on the one side and Ckembari (fan group of Pelister) was on the other. The case was about exchanging stones and many other hard objects over the railing and some of those objects finished on the reporters who were placed in the middle of the two stands of the supporters of Vardar and Pelister. After the end of the match, the 200 supporters of Vardar who came in Bitola with 4 buses and the full team and support staff which were in 1 bus, 2 hours were held on the stadium, while the police cleaned the park around the stadium from the angry Ckembari who wanted to settle the accounts with the players and the supporters of Vardar. But we all came back safely to Skopje and only the bus of the team which was at the head of the line suffered a little, and the young defender Marjan Belcev get a little hurt from the broken window of the bus. In the other first legs of the 1/4 finals in the national cup, Belasica Strumica was defeated at home with 0:1 by Sloga Skopje, Skendija Tetovo beat Baskimi Kumanovo 2:0 at home and in the last 1/4 final match in Struga the home side of Karaorman played draw 0:0 against FCU Skopje. The next match of Vardar is against Osogovo Kocani at our stadium in Skopje.

Start of the second part

End of the first part of the season

29.11.2000 - FC Vardar won 2:0 on the away match in Kicevo against the home side of Napredok and with this victory we are going through the 1/4 finals in the Macedonian national football cup. The goal scorers for Vardar were Dragan Nacevski in 8' (his 3th goal in the Cup and 4th this season) and Ivica Jovanovski in 15' (his first goal for Vardar) and on the match the attendance was only 500. The draw for the 1/4 finals will be made in December 2000. Now all the looks of FC Vardar's supporters are turned at the tournament which will be organized by the District football league of Gazi Baba on December 8-10. And on this tournament besides Vardar these 5 clubs will take a participation : Sloga Skopje, 2 clubs from the Gazi Baba district and the 2 clubs from Bulgaria : FC Botev from Plovdiv and FC Hebar from Pazardzhik. We hope that Vardar will play against Sloga and we'll show again to the Smugglers (the fans of Sloga) who is the best in Macedonia.

26.11.2000 - Belasica with today's victory of 1:0 on the Cair Stadium against the home side of Sloga made to us a great favour and at the end of the first part of the season the difference between Vardar and Sloga is 4 points and in the next Day 14 which will be played in March next year Sloga will play in Tetovo against the home side of Skendija and we are playing at home against Osogovo and we are really expecting that this difference of 4 points will grow up on 6 or 7 points in front of the great derby match on Cair in Day 15 between Sloga and Vardar.

25.11.2000 - FC Vardar had won the autumn championship title after the victory of 2:0 against Makedonija Skopje. The goals for FC Vardar were scored by Artim Sakiri in 43rd minute (his 2nd goal in the league) and Risto Bozinov in 78th minute (his 7th goal in the league and 8th in the season). The match was followed by a crowd of 3,000 supporters who were celebrating the autumn championship title with a hope that it will be the same at the end of the championships. On the match there was a small group of fans from Gjorce Petrov, but they didn't have any possibility for joy.

23.11.2000 - The last match from the first part of the season in the Macedonian First League between Vardar and Makedonija Gjorce Petrov will be played in Saturday afternoon on November 25th and the kick-off is at 1 PM. For this term the both of clubs have had agreement, so the supporters of FC Vardar are expecting to celebrate the autumn championship title on Saturday afternoon. And another good thing for this is that there are no players with 3 yellow cards in Vardar's squad and the head coach Alekso Mackov will have all the players for this crucial match this season.

19.11.2000 - FC Vardar is now on 1 step in front of the winning of the autumn championship title, after the victory of 2:0 in Veles against the home side of Borec. The goal scorers for our team were Saso Janev 73' (his first goal this season) and Risto Bozinov 89' (his 6th goal in the league and 7th total this season). The match was followed by a crowd of 1,000 and there were a lot of supporters of FC Vardar - "Komiti" and "Loyal Fans" even though in the all 90 minutes the weather was cloudy and it was raining on some moments. With this victory FC Vardar is still on the top of the standings with 30 points and Sloga has 29 with the victory over Osogovo in Kocani while the other clubs are far away behind us. In the next last week in this first part of the season, Vardar will play at home with Makedonija Skopje while Sloga will also play at home against Belasica Strumica. We hope that the "pigeons" from Cair will lose or play draw against the team of the ambitious president of Belasica, Vanco Takovski and with that we'll move away from them on the table.

12.11.2000 - After the Week 11 of the Macedonian First Division, FC Vardar is still on the first place of the table with 27 points. In today's derby match Vardar won 3:1 against Sileks and two weeks before the end of the first part of the season the chances for winning the autumn championship title are big. By the way today's match was followed by crowd of 5,000 supporters who were 12th player of our club and they have big part in the results of the team. Vardar took the lead with the goal of Risto Bozinov in 29th minute and after that Red-Blacks had few more chances to score but the first half finished 1:0 for FC Vardar. The second half began very bad for Vardar, because after the start Ahmetovic from Sileks equalized on 1:1 with the goal which was scored from offside position, but the referee Gradimir Stojanovski from Gostivar didn't meant like that. After this there was a big gun fire on the goal of Suad Prtinac - the goalkeeper od Sileks Kratovo and as a result of that in 58th minute the referee Stojanovski gave us a penalty kick. Ilco Borov was successful again and with his 2nd goal in the league and third in the season, Vardar took the lead again with 2:1. Risto Bozinov with his fifth goal in the league and 6th in the season placed the final result on the match 3:1 for FC Vardar and gave big joy of the Vardar's fan-group "Komiti". In the other matches this weekend Sloga Skopje at home beat Makedonija Skopje minimally with 1:0 and after this the Doves from Cair are the only team who are following Vardar in step and they are one point behind us at the moment.

08.11.2000 - In today's first leg of the 1/8 finals in the Macedonian national football cup, FC Vardar beat Napredok Kicevo with 5:1. The goal scorers for Vardar were: Nacevski 2, Veselinovski, Bozinov and Borov from a penalty kick. Today's match was more interesting in the second period when 5 goals were scored, instead of the first which finished 1:0 for Vardar. Vardar took the lead by 1:0 with the goal of Veselinovski in 23', on 2:0 increased Borov from a penalty kick and the minute was 49th, then Napredok scored their only goal and decreased the lead of Vardar on 2:1 and the goal scorer was Mickovski  in 71' and a little bit after that, they had chance to equalize but the defense of the Red-Blacks was successful. 7 minutes later in 78th minute Dragan Nacevski had scored his first goal today and increased the lead of Vardar on 3:1 and with this goal everything started to be clear who will be in the 1/4 finals. Then Risto Bozinov with his first goal in the cup and fourth this season increased on 4:1 and in 90th minute Dragan Nacevski scored his second goal on this match and placed thae final result of 5:1. The match was followed by a crowd of 500 fans who were celebrating the new victory of their favorite players.

05.11.2000 - In the other results of today's 10th week of the Macedonian First Division, Sloga Skopje won 3:2 on the away match in Veles against the home side of Borec. Sileks Kratovo at their stadium in Kratovo celebrated victory against Skendija Tetovo by 2:0. With these results our rivals are still behind us and the next weekend in Skopje, Vardar plays vs. Sileks and we are expecting another victory. If we eventually win we'll be 5 points in front of the blue-reds of Kratovo.

04.11.2000 - In today's city derby match between Rabotnicki and Vardar, more successful were Red-Blacks and they win today by 3:2. The goals for Vardar were scored by Dragan Nacevski in 17th minute of the match (his first goal this season) and the double-scorer Risto Bozinov in 24' and 57'. By the way Rabotnicki had the first lead in today's match with he goal of D.Gjorgjievski in 10th minute from a free-kick and the final result was set up by Ivanov in the added time which was 10 minutes long and we don't know why the referee Delco Jakimovski prolonged the 2nd half so much. But that's not important, because with this victory Vardar is still first on the table with 24 points.

02.11.2000 - Definitely the match between Rabotnicki and Vardar will be played on Saturday afternoon at 6 PM. In our team for this match Miserdovski and Sakiri will be missing, but Risto Bozinov will be in the squad and in his statement for "Macedonian Sport" he expects to score at least once, but the the biggest stave for the FC Vardar's attackers will be Gogo Jovcev (the goalkeeper of Rabotnicki) who played a couple for Vardar too. The fans of FC Vardar remember Gogo Jovcev by his big mistake and the goal from 50 metres against the Hungarian side of Bekescaba in UEFA Cup 6 years ago. That match finished 1:1 and we hope that in Saturday Jovcev will be defeated again.

01.11.2000 - The city derby match Rabotnicki - Vardar will be probably played in Saturday on November 4th under the lights of City Stadium and the kick-off is at 6 PM. The both of clubs have deal for this and now remains the formal decision of the Macedonian football federation today. We hope that it will be like that and the fans of Vardar and Rabotnicki will see a good match and a lot of goals.

29.10.2000 - With today's victory of 3:0 against Tikves Kavadarci we are now on the top of the table. Today's match was followed by a crowd of 500-1000 fans but all of them were satisfied with the final result of this match. The goal scorers for FC Vardar were the member of the Macedonian U-21 national team Aleksandar Bajevski who scored the first 2 goals in 3' and 49' and the youngster Daniel Gjosevski in 57minute. In this match we had a lot of chances to score but our forwards were not efficient and as a result of that FC Vardar won only by 3:0. The match between Sloga and Sileks which was very important for FC Vardar finished 2:2. That result brought us on the 1st place on the table and we hope that we'll be on that place at the end of the season. Next weekend FC Vardar will play a derby match versus our big rival and neighbor Rabotnicki. We are sharing the City Stadium with them and the matches between these 2 clubs are compared with some of the famous derby matches in Europe like : Milan-Inter, Torino-Juventus, Sampdoria - Genoa, Red Star - Partizan Belgrade and more other. The fans of the both of clubs are expecting good game and we hope that FC Vardar will win in this match and we'll stay on the top of the table.

28.10.2000 - Well, the decision of the Macedonian football federation is that the match between Vardar and Tikves will be played on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM local time. We don't have the explanation for this decision but however the match will be played tomorrow.

26.10.2000 - FC Vardar wants the match from week 9 vs. Tikves Kavadarci to be played on Saturday night (October 28th) instead of Sunday afternoon. We hope that the MFF will accept this proposal and we'll see a good game under the lights of City Stadium. This match will be a coming back on City Stadium after whole 2 months and the draw against Sloga 0:0. Tikves Kavadarci is on the last place of the table and they still don't have points this season, so we hope that Vardar will show good play and the fans are expecting a lot of goals.

22.10.2000 - In today's match - 8th in this season in the national league, Vardar won 3:2 on the away match against FCU Skopje and with this 3 points we are now only 1 point behind the leaders Sloga. The goal scorers for us were Zoran Miserdovski in 15 minute and the double goal scorer Aleksandar Bajevski in 50 and 73 minute of the match. The goals for the home team were scored by Svetozar Stankovski in 37' and Igor Angelovski (from the penalty kick) in 47' of the match. The match was followed by a not very big crowd only 2-3000 and there were a lot of fans of FC Vardar - Komiti and they were big support for our team. In the other results in this week's matches the leader Sileks was defeated at home by 1:2 from Osogovo Kocani and now Vardar and Sileks are equal on the standings with 18 points. In the next week match we are coming back on our City Stadium after whole 2 months and we are expecting victory vs. the last-placed Tikves from Kavadarci. The derby match next week will be played on the Cair Ground in Skopje between the home side of Sloga and Sileks Kratovo. We hope that Sloga will lose or play draw and Vardar will be on the top after this matches.

16.10.2000 - In the Day 7 match of the Macedonian national league which was played in Vinica yesterday FC Vardar played only 0:0 vs. Pobeda Prilep. With this match the suspension of our stadium is over and now we can play again at home. The match in Vinica was little boring and the both of teams had only a few chances to score but the attackers were not to much interested about scoring goals. This match was followed by a crowd of 2.000 and there were fans of both of the clubs. Our fans "Komiti" were much louder than the "Monkeys" from Prilep and after the match there were tries for some fights with the fans from Prilep but everything finished OK. After this match we are now on the 3rd position in Division 1 and in the next match after 2 months we are coming back to Skopje and we are playing an away match against FCU Skopje. In this match our team will be stronger for Nedzmedin Memedi whose ban is over and he will be in our team again after that scandalous match in Strumica vs. Belasica which we won 1:0.

12.10.2000 - There are only 3 days left to the one of the crucial matches for us this season. The city of Vinica will be again the host of our club and we are expecting another victory vs. Pobeda Prilep, after that one vs. Pelister Bitola. Risto Bozinov will be back in our team but Memedi is still out and this is the last match of his ban.

06.10.2000 - In the 1/8 finals of the Macedonian Football Cup we'll play against the 2nd league member Napredok Kicevo. The 1st leg will be played in Skopje on November 8th and the 2nd leg is in Kicevo 2 weeks later. Yesterday in a friendly match FC Vardar beat 2nd league member Alumina Skopje by 5:2.

02.10.2000 - Yesterday we played draw 0:0 against the home side of Sasa in Makedonska Kamenica and with this point we are now 2nd on the table in the National League. The match was not to much exciting and it was followed by a not very big crowd (only 500). But now our looks are turned on the next match in Vinica on 15th October vs. Pobeda Prilep and this is 2nd and last match of the ban which was challenged by the riots before the match against Sloga.

30.09.2000 - Tomorrow our club is going on another away match, now in Makedonska Kamenica. There we are playing vs. the home side of Sasa and we are expecting another victory. In our team Memedi will be missing because of the ban and Veselinoski because of injury. And our fans will not travel this time, so there will be not very big support for our players there.

25.09.2000 - Yesterday in Vinica we won 3:1 against Pelister Bitola and now we are still on the top of the table. The goal scorers for us were Risto Bozinov 20' (his first goal in this season), Artim Sakiri 21' (his first goal too) and Zoran Miserdovski 27' (his 3rd goal in the league). The only goal for Pelister was scored by Mitko Iliev in 54th minute. The match was followed by the crowd of 1.000 fans of Vardar and there were no fans of Pelister Bitola.

21.09.2000 - The match from the Day 5 between Vardar and Pelister will be played in Vinica because of our 2 matches ban. We still do not know if our fans will travel there, but there are speculations that 3 or 4 buses with the fans will be in Vinica on 24th September.

18.09.2000 - FC Vardar is on the top of the table with 10 points and we hope that we'll be there after the all 26 matches from this season. The match in Strumica was excellent by the result for us but after the end of match there were incidents challenged by the home fans and some of the members of the home club. Our bus with the players and the club staff was attacked by the home side hooligans and with great luck only few of our players were lightly hurt. Ilco Borov scored the only goal for us in 41st minute by the penalty kick.

13.09.2000 - Today we've done a great job on the away match in Tetovo. Vardar beat the home side of Skendija 2:0 and the goalscorers were Miserdovski 75' and Bajevski 83'. The match was attended by the crowd of 6.000 (only home fans), because our fans were not allowed to be watch the match and they started riots because of that. After this match we are in the top 4 of the table and we have great expectations from the next derby-match in Strumica against the home side of Belasica. By the way our City Stadium is suspended for 2 matches because of the riots before the match against Sloga. The alternative for this 2 matches will be Kocani or Kicevo.

28.08.2000 - There are only 4 days left from the departure to Bratislava on the first match of our national team in WC 2002 qualifiers against Slovakia. The departure will be in Saturday on 2nd September (4 or 5 AM). We will travel 4 or 5 buses and we hope that Macedonia will win unless at least 1 point.

27.08.2000 - In the second match of the National League, FC Vardar played only draw 0:0 against one of our biggest rivals Sloga Skopje. Our club had the initiative and the most of the goal chances but our forwards were inefficient. But on the stands it was very interesting. The match was delayed for 15 minutes because of the entering of  a few hundreds Vardar fans on the field and their wish to fight with the fans of Sloga, who stole one of our red - black flags. After that our flag was returned. Before the start of the match two our fans burned one scarf of Sloga on the field and in front of the reporters. It was fantastic to see that scene and we will try to get that photo so you can catch the moment. 5 minutes before the end of the match our fans on the West Stand made great spectacle with firing more than 40 lighting rockets. The other results from Day 2 are not very bad for us and  we are now on the 5th position on the table.

20.08.2000 - The start in the national league was FANTASTIC !!! FC Vardar won 2:1 in Kocani and the goal scorers for us were Dragan Veselinoski 26' and Zoran Miserdovski 28', and for Osogovo Jovanovski 16'. The other results from Day 1 are very good for FC Vardar because 2 from our rivals lost. Pobeda Prilep lost 4:1 in Kratovo against the home side of Sileks Kratovo, and the greatest surprise in Day 1 Sloga Skopje (the actual champions) lost 0:1 at home from the new members of the national league Skendija Tetovo. Yesterday the board of the Macedonian Football Federation have announced the new format of the competition in the national league in next 2001/2002 season. Next season the national league will be with 12 clubs and they will meet each other 3 times in the season. And for the 2002/2003 season the national league will be with 10 clubs and they will play 4 times each other.

15.08.2000 - FC Vardar have qualified for the 1/8 finals of the national cup and our opponent will be known after the draw in September.
The board of our club will submit complaint against FC Sloga for non-argument accusations against our club and making pressure to the Macedonian football federation and its president, Mr. Lambe Arnaudov.
For the first match of the national league in Kocani against Osogovo, FC Vardar's fan club "Komiti" will organize transport for all interested fans to the stadium "Nikola Mantov".

13.08.2000 - In yesterday's first official match for this season who was played for the 1/16 finals of the Macedonian football cup , FC Vardar beat FC Makedonija from the Skopje's quarter Gjorce Petrov by 2:1. The goal scorers for us were Beganovic in 62nd and Miserdovski in 75th minute of the match. The leading goal for the visitors from Gjorce Petrov was scored by Stojkovic in 55th minute. The first match this season was followed by a crowd of 4000 who were not too much satisfied with the play of Vardar but were satisfied with the final result and with the fact that FC Vardar goes through the 1/8 finals.

12.08.2000 - The new season starts today with the match between our FC Vardar and Makedonija Skopje. We hope that will win this match and we'll go through the 1/8 finals of the Macedonian national cup. In the squad for the today's match are expected all 5 players who came from Sloga, and they were all under controversy of their former club.

Start of the new season 2000/2001
