Fernando Colunga and Thalía were novios for a year and a half,
but the relationship did not work out. "There were things
which we did not like about each other. We got along very
well. Every relationship brings beautiful things, but (eventually)
everything got cold," Fernando said. It is said that
the relationship was so important that both still have a
medallion which they wore always hung by a chain. "It
was a gift which we mutually gave each other and that at the
present is still kept. I believe that there are cycles,
they come to an end, and how great that you can still remember
someone in a beautiful way although the rest no longer exists!"
he exclaims.
Colunga says that there was no resentment when the relationship
was over, but it is rumored that they do not even speak to each
other. "There was a friendship. The relationship
simply was over, and here it remains. I prefer to remember
the beautiful things about people with whom I have been," he
says. It is certain that Thalía is water under the bridge.

telenovelas of 1999. Left to right: Giovan D'Angelo,

Fernando had already been cast as the leading man
when the starring role was offered to Thalía, who declined to
accept it. We will probably never know
if she simply felt that she could not deal with the emotional
involvement of being on-screen lovers
with him again.
In 1999, Fernando also filmed "Nunca
Te Olvidaré" with
Edith Gonzalez. There were frequent rumors that the two
stars had a relationship off screen as well."
