Beginngs: | Queens Of The Stone Age was formed from the ashes of Kyuss. It is the reunion of Kyuss, which broke up in 1995, and reformed under the new name without John Garcia. This all started in Palm Springs, California, USA, amongst schoolfriends back in 1990. |
Generations: | K1 (1990-1993) | Kyuss was formed by Joshua Homme (guitar), Nick Oliveri (Bass), Brant Bjork (Drums) and John Garcia (Vocals). Nick Oliveri then left and was replaced by Scott Reeder from Obsessed. |
K2 (1993-1994) | Brant Bjork leaves and later joins Fu Manchu in 1996. Alfredo Hernandez joins the band.
K3 (1994-1995) | Brant Bjork leaves and later joines Fu Manchu. Alfredo Hernandez joins the band. Kyuss breaks up. John Garcia forms Slo-Burn. Joshua Homme forms Gamma Ray.
K4 (1998-1999) | Kyuss reunites under the name Queens Of The Stone Age with only three members which are Joshua Homme, Nick Oliveri and Alfredo Hernandez.
K5 (1999-20??) | Alfredo Hernandez leaves and Gene Troutmann joins or rejoins as he did play with the guys when Kyuss was being created. |

They're YOUR songs, and you keep saying that you can write, but no one believes you!' He was totally drunk, you know, so he was basically talking shit to me, but he was the guy who really convinced me." |
