FFF MEANS FANATICKE FEINDE DES FASCHISMUS. WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN THIS
NAME? DID YOU HAVE SOME EXPERIENCES WITH FASCISTS?
We have different meanings for FFF. Because we get tired of the question ''What does FFF
means?" Another popular meaning for FFF nowaday is "Far From Freedom". Of course we have
had bad experiences with fascists, just look back some years in time. And today punks, hippies
and foreigners are the "jews".
WHY DECIDED YOU TO START FFF, WHAT DO YOU WANNA REACH WITH
We started the band because we wanted to have fun together playing the music we love and to be
able to give the listener an idea of our way of thinking an our attitude towards life. That is also our
HOW IS THE SCENE IN YOUR REGION? ... ARE THERE MANY BANDS - ALSO FASCIST
ONES - ,FANZINES?
There are about 10 punkbands in our region. Most of them play fun punk or 77 style. There are two
fanzines. I don't know of any fascist bands here. Some time ago many punks got together and
formed the "Bonnsche Ton" alternative. They organize concerts, have a distribution, print t-shirts
and do other things to support the bands from Bonn. The idea is very good but they tend to support
only a few of all bands, usually the ones they play in themselves. Nevertheless this is just the
beginning and I don't feel competent to judge yet. A very good thing they did was to put out a
comp.-LP with all the bands from Bonn. You can order it from me for 300 Bfr. postpaid, Comes with
booklet with info an lyrics.
NEO-FASCISM SEEMS TO BE A GROWING MOVEMENT. ALSO IN YOUR REGION? WHAT IS
THE REASON OF THE GROWING, DO YOU THINK AND WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?
The reason of the growing is that the further we go in time the more the people forget how
disgusting and loathsome war is. Another reason is the fucked up society we live in that is made to
produce idiots who do what they are said, TV and movies like Rambo and other bullshit allways
show that it's cool to solve problems with violence or by shooting around and splattering everyones
brains against the wall, who become in their way
WHAT DOES A STUDENT IN GERMANY LEARNS ABOUT WORLD WAR II, DOES IT FIT REALITY?
I don't know that because I have learned anything about World War II in school which I think is a
big scandal, but maybe the reason was that I changed the school twice. Andy our bass player in
contrast has had that topic five times in 13 years of school.
THERE ARE OFTEN TROUBLES AT THE BERLIN WALL. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS
OBSTACLE? HAVE PEOPLE FROM WEST-GERMANY CONTACT WITH PEOPLE FROM EAST-GERMANY?
The wall and the troubles are not only in Berlin but all along the border to East Berlin. People who
want to escape from East to West are often shot by DDR soldiers or machines that shoot rusty
nails as soon as you pass a certain point before they even reach the wall ... That is complete
bullshit and definately not human. Mostly people that have relatives in East Germany have contact.
People that don't have relatives in the DDR are very suspicious to the secret service, they could be
YOU'VE PLAYED IN BELGIUM LATELY. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT OUR
We liked the people very much and the concert was very well organized.
I want to thank Brob and the Smurfpunx who made the concert possible for us. The whole
athmosphere was really great. We would love to play many more gigs in Belgium. So if you read this
and you organize gigs or you know some one who does... contact us. We have much contact to
people from Belgium Nowaday. We would also like to exchange gigs with Belgian
I THINK THAT THE GERMAN SCENE NOWADAY IS ONE OF THE BEST IN EUROPE. DO YOU
Yeah, there are many good bands and lots of gigs, but the people always look upon american bands
or other foreign bands. Many people go to concerts where foreign bands are playing. For us too it is a
problem when we play with foreign bands, people don't really listen or save their energy and effort for
the "stars". No matter how hard we try and how much energy and effort we put in our music, after all
we're "just Germans". I think that's really stupid. People should value the bands by their music and not
by where they come from.
BY WHO ARE YOU INFLUENCED, WHICH ARE YOUR FAVORITE BANDS?
We're influenced by all the music we listen to. Our favourite bands and probably main influences are
the Bad Brains. We listen to all kind of (rock) music. Some bands: D.K., Gang Green, Black Sabbath,
7 Seconds, Doors, L.W.S. (Germany), Jingo De Lunch (Germany), AC/DC, KINA (Italy), Upside
(Italy),Sex Pistols, Rites Of Spring, Scream, Jimi Hendrix.
WHICH ARE YOUR BEST SONGS, CAN YOU GIVE SOME EXPLANATION ABOUT YOUR
We don't really know, some songs are better than others, but we don't have any favourites. There are
two songs that we have played in every concert we have ever made. They are our first songs and
they have their own history, and of course they have changed in those five years. One is about
U.S.-imperialism / Vietnam / Cuba / Nicaragua. It's called "No Pasaran, No Yankees!" which is
spanisch and it means: They never make it! The other song is "Mann in Uniform" which is about
police, soldiers and performance of duty. We have different versions of this song, one with a disco
intro, the other with a jazz intro. Other songs are about the "live to work, work to live"-mentality, fascist
attitude, consumer society, TV-manipulation , relationships, accomplishment society. We have mainly
political topics and we regard ourselves as a political band.
WHAT´S YOUR OPINION ABOUT THAT CRASH ON THAT AIRSHOW, WHAT DO YOU THINK
ABOUT SUCH SPECTACLES?
When that happened we were in Italy and we didn't get much background info. But from what I know
about such spectacles I think they are absolutely moronic, unnecessary and now the government has
forbidden airshows like that, under the pressure of the people. The funny thing is that the allied
forces/nato doesn't agree with that, and that they continue those shows on German Territory. That is
for me the proof that after all the German government has nothing to say if the U.S.A. doesn't agree.
So now we are waiting for the next disaster, hopefully a plane hit a nuclear reactor this time ...
IMAGINE THAT YOU WAKE UP AND REALISE THAT YOU ARE THE DRUMMER OF THAT
FASCIST BAND "SKREWDRIVER". WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
I would climb up the next skyscraper and fly to hell!
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE FOLLOWING
We support vegetarism, vivisection
We have always wondered what that's supposed to
I have put out a fanzine longtime ago, but I don't have the time now. Fanzines can
support the scene , but can also manipulate, spread gossip or split the scene. Nevertheless they are
important but don't always believe what is written.
We're not into the church and satan sucks too, but we are tolerant.
SOD / CARNIVORE / SUICIDAL
I have read about them and that they're supposed to
have fucked up attitudes, but since I don't know the facts I don't want to say anything about them, we
have never listened to those bands except for S.T.
He is definatly better than the ones before him and life might be
more "free" for the people there now. But it is still a dictatorship, a big prison and people are tortured
etc. He will not solve the East/ West problems and I doubt that he, same as Bush, even wants to.
ANYTHING TO ADD?
If you're interested in our music or in distributing our stuff, send a tape and 2 IRC's or 3$ or 130Bfr.
