Just north of Alpena, was in service from 1840 ~ 1871. It was replaced by New Presque in 1871. Today it is privately owned and is a very nice museum. It is said that this one is haunted by an old lightkeepers wife. Some have claimed to hear her screams at night. You can climb the tower and view Lake Huron.
