It is located near Harrisville, MI. It was put into service in 1869. It marks a dangerous underwater reef of gravel and sand extending out 1 1/4 miles into Lake Huron. It has been restored by the Alcona County Historical Society, and is an active light. They have a museum and gift shop. The tower is sealed and maintained by the Coast Guard.
