It is located in a state park outside of Tawas City, MI. It was put into service in 1853. It stands 67 feet tall. It is owned and maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard. It is open to the public one weekend in June. Summer tours are available by Coast Guard staff by appt. Phone-517-362-4429
